Program Summary
 
  Together, the OHSAA and the OHSAA Foundation provide scholarships to 54 senior student-athletes each year. The top two student-athletes from each of the six OHSAA athletic districts receive $2,000 scholarships provided by the OHSAA Foundation. The OHSAA provides thirty-six $1,000 scholarships. In addition, the Foundation provides six $1,000 minority scholarships for a student-athlete from each athletic district.  
     
 

Criteria
 

  

 

Scholar-athlete scholarship recipients are selected based on a point system which rewards students for grade-point averages; ACT and SAT scores; varsity letters earned; individual and team athletic honors, and an essay. The recipients are selected by a special committee within each of the six OHSAA athletic districts. Recipients of athletic scholarships from NCAA Division I or II institutions are not eligible for the award.
